We all want to have a great day! Many of us wake up with the best intentions, but sometimes life happens, and the day seems like it’s spiraling out of control before it even began. Did you know that there are three simple steps you can take to start your day off right and set yourself up for success? Keep reading to learn how to have a better day with only three steps.

1. Meditate first thing on things that make you happy and that you are thankful for. One of the most crucial steps to having a better day is starting your day with gratitude. Instead of waking up and immediately being flooded with worries and stress, take a few minutes and meditate on the things in your life that make you happy. Identify even the small things that bring joy to your life and take a moment to appreciate them. When you start your day with an attitude of gratitude, it helps put things into perspective and sets a positive tone for the rest of your day.

2. Order your day by identifying two tasks that help build your dreams and the experiences you GET to have. Once you have identified what you are grateful for, it’s time to take actionable steps towards achieving your goals. Identify two things that you can do that will move you closer to your dreams. Whether it’s working on a passion project, taking a course, or building relationships with the people who matter most, choose two things that are necessary for your personal and professional growth and make sure to prioritize them.

3. Avoid screens and TV before breakfast and/or spend a few moments moving your body. Our brains need time to wake up in the morning, and looking at screens or turning on the TV can overload our brains with too much information, causing anxiety and stress. Instead, consider spending a few moments stretching or going for a quick walk outside. This will help to awaken your muscles, and the fresh air and sunshine will help to clear your head, setting you up for a positive and productive day.

In summary, having a great day is not as hard as we might think. By taking these simple steps, we can transform our mindset and start each day with a sense of purpose, accomplishment, and positivity. Incorporating gratitude into our morning routine, prioritizing tasks that work towards our goals, and giving our brains and bodies the care they need will set you on the path for a better day, every day!
